THE CLEVER SOCCER CAMP
IN PARGAS
Desire, Enjoy, Help and Improve yourself playing football, these are the key words of the camp done in Froya, Norway, this February, 2024.
Our latest project has been a resounding success! From February 16th to February 21st, 2024, we partnered with our Norwegian counterpart to host an exciting football camp in Froya, Norway.
Four of our talented coaches traveled to this beautiful location to deliver training sessions to the players who enrolled in the camp:
- Sergi Vilalta (coach in the RCD Espanyol Academy in China until the COVID stopped everything and coach in local teams in Catalonia, UEFA A coach license and projects coordinator in The Clever Soccer company)
- Xavi Moro (ex-professional football player for FC Barcelona and other professional teams, 1st Thailand division head coach, UEFA PRO coach license)
- Joan Jordà (physical coach in female first team for FC Barcelona and coach in local teams in Catalonia)
- Miquel Avila (coach in local teams in Catalonia playing against FC Barcelona, RCD Espanyol, Damm, Cornella, at the top categories of their age)
The experience was truly rewarding, both for the participants and for us. The players showed great commitment and enthusiasm, they made a really hard effort as they are not used to train with The Clever Soccer methodology but as a result of their efforts at the end of the week, they improved a lot.
Parents also expressed their satisfaction with the results achieved. It brings us joy to see how our dedication and passion for football are reflected in the progress and happiness of those who took part in this event.
The feedback received has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are delighted to know that both our partner and the players and their families are eager to repeat this experience. We are committed to continue providing unique opportunities for development and fun in the world of football, and we look forward to future collaborations and exciting projects.
Thanks to everyone involved for making this incredible football camp in Norway possible!

Success of the first The Clever Soccer Camp in Pargas, Finland
Last Friday, February 16th, a team of football professionals and enthusiasts embarked on a journey towards a new adventure in Finland to carry out the first The Clever Soccer Camp in Pargas. This experience represented an exciting challenge for all involved: players, parents, and coaches.
Our team was led by Alex Gómez Comes, a UEFA Pro coach with over 30 years of experience, with an impressive background that includes work with the youth categories of FCB and international experience in Hong Kong, Thailand, and Japan, among others. We were also accompanied by Jordi Llaó Borràs, an expert in physical and sports activities, with extensive experience as a youth football coach and coordinator in Ametlla de Mar.
With the determination to provide an enriching experience, we conducted the Camp in Pargas during the winter, which required us to do it on a very small indoor artificial grass field at the facilities of the city of Pargas (2h. drive from Helsinki). With a varying number of players and a wide range of ages, we adjusted schedules and groups to ensure that each participant enjoyed the experience to the fullest.
The day’s football activities started with the youngest at 9:00 in the morning and the older ones at 10:00 a.m., and for 2 hours, the children did not stop doing football exercises in groups but focused on individual reinforcement with many new concepts through rondos, chaotic exercises, position and possession games, third man concepts, etc.
After a quality self-service lunch with typical Finnish food at a restaurant, the players gathered for various educational and recreational activities in the video room where we did different tasks such as watching football videos, explaining exercises we had done, PowerPoints, games, etc.
The afternoon training sessions, lasting 2 hours, offered opportunities for tactical and technical development, with a focus on group improvement through matches and mini-matches with tactical objectives where the children learned and had fun at the same time.
The end of the training consisted of stretching and in the video room, we reviewed the day and conducted a self-assessment that the players themselves had to fill out and rate.
The last day was the moment to confirm that the Camp in Pargas was a success; photos, greetings, hugs…; and above all, the desire to return. We were delighted with the people, the children, and the landscapes.
We want to express the desire to return and with the hope of continuing to build on this positive experience, we are already planning the second edition for the warmer months. There is a high probability that, at the end of August or earlier, we will be back in Finland, with the commitment to provide an even better experience for the participants.
We left with hearts full of gratitude for everyone; especially to the Dahlbacka family (Kim, Mikaela, Oliver, Tyra, and Walter) for welcoming us into their home as if we were one of them and giving us the opportunity to live unique experiences that we will never forget. Also to «Stefan Stromborg» for his great help before and during the Camp in Pargas.
